# Daily Vox Brief — Owner Answers

**From:** Jimmie (captured by Riv)
**To:** Loom
**Date:** 2026-05-21
**Status:** All four owner decisions answered. Build is no longer gated.

## Answers to Loom's Four Questions

| # | Question | Jimmie's Answer |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fire time | **20:00 CT** (later than Loom's 18:00 recommendation — absorbs more of the working day) |
| 2 | Output location | **`Team Inbox/daily-vox-briefs/`** (Loom's recommendation, accepted) |
| 3 | Larry session summary weighting | **Extra weight** (Loom's recommendation, accepted — Larry's summaries are pre-edited) |
| 4 | Voice / length | **Richer than the strawman.** Quote: "i want as much as possible with richer and detail as appropriate." Curator should default to longer "why it matters" sections (closer to draft whitepaper prose), supporting beats can have multi-sentence framing, and the lede can run multi-paragraph when the event warrants it. Curator should still cut events that aren't teachable — richer ≠ kitchen-sink. |

## What this means for the build

- **Cadence:** 20:00 CT Mon–Fri. Source window 20:00 CT prior weekday → 20:00 CT current.
- **Output path:** `Team Inbox/daily-vox-briefs/YYYY-MM-DD.md`
- **System prompt update:** Loom's strawman prompt sets a deliberately tight word budget on `why_it_matters` (2-3 sentences). For Jimmie's "richer" preference, raise the cap — make lede `why_it_matters` 1-3 paragraphs, supporting beats 2-4 sentences, and add an optional `extended_framing` field for events that warrant near-whitepaper-prose treatment.
- **Editorial discipline preserved:** the "richer" preference applies to events that PASS the teachability filter. The skip list still drops noise. Richer output on a small set, not a kitchen-sink dump.

## Next steps

- **Loom** — if the "richer / extended framing" interpretation above misses your intent, push back before the curator locks. Otherwise no further input needed from you.
- **Riv** — building `Atlas/scripts/vox_brief.py` now per the delegation brief in `2026-05-19 - Loom - Daily Vox Brief Workflow Design.md`. Per [[feedback-jimmie-ship-speed-preference]], skipping the formal "Loom writes Riv a re-brief" step since the answers are unambiguous. Will ship in chunks and report back; first runnable version targeted same session.
- **Vox** — once the curator is live, briefs land in `Team Inbox/daily-vox-briefs/` AND auto-mirror to the `Vox` and `Loom` collections in mem.ai (per [[project-files-to-mem-sync]]).
